I can relate to this video! We were married at the courthouse 1st bc we were young, i was 21, and we didnt have much money at time. We had a wedding 3 years later. During our engagement my at the time step sister was trying her best to keep up with me and outdo me. The month after i was engaged, she was engaged to her baby daddy. Then she wanted me to help me plan her wedding as I was planning my own. Like what??! No lol. When it didnt work out with her baby daddy i was still kind enough to try and have her as a bridesmaid. Her and her 2 sisters. They accepted. But when it came time to start looking for shoes, their dresses etc, they were m.i.a. Long story short I chose new bridesmaids and they never showed up to my wedding 😂😂 They thought that if they didnt show up that i wouldn't have a wedding. She had been jealous of me years before that and my mom tried to tell me, i just didnt wanna believe it.

The thing is, a lot of men stay in relationships because they are comfortable and getting easy sex. And the longer this situation goes on, the women starts to wonder when this man is going to make a move and present a ring to her. At first I was agreeing with Melinda on him leaving his ass and they shouldn’t have gotten married to begin with , but then later on I was supporting Roberts character because he was working 24/7 in something that he believed was gonna make him successful and his dream came true it took him years but the dream came true. She wanted the divorce, she left him he didn’t want to leave her and he found a woman that believed in him and married her and to top it off he payed Miranda back everything times 10 and he got her back her mothers house

This movie had me siding with Taraji character more even though I feel Melinda never should have married him from the jump. Robert moved on way to quick with that woman, I think that woman didn't care and should have gave him time to heal. I agree she did create Robert into what she wanted him to be so she could marry him. I think it wouldn't have hurt so much if Robert and the new wife moved into a regular house and not get a boat.

I am black and also have a Hispanic friend that is suppose to be ride or die since 7th grade. I am getting married in October and I had to cut her off from being my MOH.
